As an Exam Invigilator, you will help ensure that examinations are conducted fairly, securely and in accordance with examination board regulations. You will provide a calm and supportive environment that enables students to perform at their best while maintaining the integrity of the examination process.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are set up to meet examination requirements.
Supervise students before, during and after examinations.
Check attendance and record late arrivals or early departures.
Distribute and collect examination papers and materials.
Ensure examinations start and finish on time.
Maintain examination conditions and enforce examination regulations.
Monitor students throughout examinations to prevent malpractice.
Report any irregularities or concerns to the Examinations Officer.
Respond appropriately to situations such as illness, fire alarms or authorised breaks.
Support students with additional needs, including acting as a scribe where required.
Carry out associated administrative duties relating to examinations.
Attend relevant training and professional development activities as required.
